Popular Indian network carrier Airtel might take pre-orders of Galaxy S6 soon after the 1 March launch.

The company has posted a teaser poster of "Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2015" event, which is expected to be the launch pad of flagship smartphone Galaxy S6, hinting Airtel in collaboration with Samsung may start taking orders next month.

"Tweeps, are you a #smartphone expert? Can you guess this phone? It's Samsung & is being launched in a few days :)", reads the official Airtel India Twitter handle.

This twitter message comes close on the heels of a report that Galaxy S6 pre-order service will go live in March, before it hits stores in April.

It won't be a surprise if Airtel begins taking orders for Galaxy S6 in March, as it adopted similar strategy when iPhone 6 was released in 2014. A year before that too it had sold the iPhone 5S (and 5C) in its store with some tantalising internet-data pack vouchers.

In USA too, three network carriers AT & T, Sprint and T-Mobile have confirmed the sale of Galaxy S6. Sprint and AT & T have even started inviting subscribers to register for new Samsung flagship smartphone.

As per numerous reports, Samsung Galaxy S6 is said to sport a 5.1-inch Quad-HD (2560x1440p) display with 550 plus ppi (pixels per inch) resolution.

Other expected features include Exynos 7 Octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, a 20.0-megapixel camera on the rear side, a 5.0-megapixel snapper with f/1.8 aperture on the front, 32GB/64GB/128GB memory, 2550 mAh battery and Cat 10 4G-LTE network support.

Rumour has it that Samsung Galaxy S6 will be accompanied by a limited edition variant -- Galaxy S6 Edge.

It is learnt that the Galaxy S6 Edge will have dual-edge display; where-in phone's screen will be curved on both right and left side.

Extra space on the both edges are said to be utilised to house illuminated icons (shortcuts) for easy access to user's favourite apps.
