Chennai, Oct 4 (ANI): AIADMK workers on Saturday staged a silent hunger protest in Chennai demanding the release of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. Jayalalithaa was convicted guilty in the disproportionate assets case and is sentenced to four years of imprisonment. More than 100 AIADMK workers along with seven from DMDK sat near the statue of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MG Ramachandran holding placards. AIADMK Chief's supporters feel the verdict was nothing but political vengeance. Meanwhile, her bail plea hearing has been adjourned till October 7 next week.
