Indigenous tablet maker Zync Global has marked its foray into the phablet segment with its dual-SIM Cloud Z5 priced at ₹9,490.

Cloud Z5, the first hybrid product from Zync claims to be the first dual SIM Android phablet with a 5- inch display.

"This is the company's first attempt in launching an innovative product, which is a tablet cum smartphone with all the latest features. We have included featured like FM radio, GPS navigation and dual-sim which none of our products possess," said Ashish Garg, Director of Zync Global, at the launch event, reported Telcom Tiger.

The device packs a 5-inch capacitive multi-touch display with a 480x800 pixel resolution and runs on Android 4. operating system. It features 512 MB of DDR3 RAM and is powered by 1GHz single-core processor. The phablet comes with Ebook, Email, Messaging, VPN Services, Google search, Flash Player, Light Sensors, Documents to go, wallpapers, Calendar, Calculator, Clock, tethering and portable hotspot, and packs a battery of 2,500 mAh.

On the connectivity front the device comes with features like 3G, WIFI, GPS, Bluetooth and FM radio. It also features an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a secondary 0.3-megapixel snapper. The device packs a memory 4GB onboard, expandable up to 32GB with a microSD card. It comes preloaded with apps like Zomato, Google Play store, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

The device is expected to compete with Micromax A100 Superfone Canvas, Micromax A110 Superfone Canvas 2, Spice Stellar Horizon Mi-500 and iBall Andi 5c which are categorized as budget phones. The phablet is available at online retailers like Flipkart.com, Homeshop18.com, Naaptol.com, Snapdeal.com, Indiatimes and Infibeam.
