Technology firm Zync Global Private Ltd has launched a new big screen smartphone called Z605 in India for ₹7,999.

The phablet sports a 6.5-inch TFT capacitive multi-touch display with 800x480 pixel resolution and is powered by a dual-core processor (unspecified chip set and clock speed) with 512MB of RAM. The smartphone supports connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3G and houses 4GB of internal storage, which is expandable by upto 32GB via microSD card support. Zync Z605 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and comes pre-loaded with social networking apps like Facebook, Twitter, Viber and WhatsApp.

The device features a 2.0-megapixel PureView camera and a 0.3 megapixel camera on the front. The phablet is powered by a 2500mAh battery which is said to deliver up to six hours of talk time on 2G and 2.5 hours on 3G.

"With a 6.5-inch display and good set of features, the Z605 comes as a tough competitor to a number of other players offering phablets housing similar set of specifications at a much lower price point.
