Chinese telecommunication equipment manufacturer ZTE is reportedly prepping a powerful smartphone that boasts a massive 6.3-inch screen.
According to a GizChina report, the upcoming smartphone of the ZTE Nubia Z7 is likely to sport a 2560x1440 pixel resolution screen and an 8-core processor which is clocked at 1.4GHz. It is also speculated that smartphone could be coupled with Mali T658 GPU and Android 5.0 operating system on board.
The company, which had unveiled its Nubia Z5 smartphone with 5.0-inch Full HD Screen in December, is rumored to power the next smartphone with a 4000 mAh battery. The device might also feature a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, 2GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.
The company is yet to confirm the details about this rumoured smartphone. The features might sound interesting but it's not sure whether any such device is underway. Media reports suggested that the company is planning to launch the smartphone somtime this year.
Should the reports ring true, then ZTE Nubia Z7 is likely to be positioned as a strong contender to Huawei's Ascend Mate which comes with similar features. Ascend Mate sports a 6.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. It is powered by 1.5GHz quad-core Huawei Hisilicon processor and sports an 8-megapixel camera with HDR. The Phablet packs a more powerful battery than that of the rumoured ZTE smartphone.
