The mystery surrounding Austin's alleged death on CBS' "The Young and the Restless" is going to thicken in the upcoming week.

It is not immediately known if Austin really is dead, but based on actor Matthew Atkinson recent tweet, fans haven't seen the last of the character. And in the next few episodes fans will learn a lot more about Austin.

"I don't know what's going to happen," admitted Atkinson in a recent interview, according to CBS Soaps. "From Day One, Austin has been a very mysterious character, and we haven't figured out much about him. There's a lot of questions we could ask, but no answers just yet! I can't give anything specifically away, I would say you will learn a lot about Austin in the coming weeks."

Last week fans got to know a lot about Austin's steamy affair with Abby, something that Summer is yet to come to terms with. Although he is primarily shown in flashbacks, a good number of Austin fans believe the character could be alive and well.

Atkinson's statements also hint at Austin being alive, but according to Twitter chatter Sharon could be arrested for not only Austin's death, but Courtney's as well. There are many theories on why Sharon would kill Austin, and one possibility, according to Soap Opera Spy, is Austin finding out a secret about Sharon's daughter, Mariah.

But why would Sharon kill Courtney? According to the website, Courtney may have identified the real killer and Sharon murdered her to save herself. "If Sharon did kill Austin the night she went off the road, and Courtney discovered it, Sharon might do anything, including killing Courtney, just to keep Nick from finding out. This is the only thing that makes sense to me,"theorises a fan.

The 16 March week of "The Young and the Restless" will see Kelly getting released from jail, Billy deciding to fast-track his wedding to Chelsea and Chelsea discovering something important about Adam. Nick and Sharon try to mend fences, but wonder if they can trust each other.
