Even as fans of Karan Mehra, who played the role of Naitik Singhania on "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai," are missing him after he quit the show, the makers have come up with an idea to cheer up the viewers.
As the story is currently revolving around Yash and Rose's wedding and the Singhania family celebrating the occasion, in the upcoming episodes Naksh (Rohan Mehra) will be seen making an effort to bring a smile on his mother Akshara's (Hina Khan) face. Akshara is upset with Naitik being away on a business trip during the happy occasion.
In the pre-wedding ceremony, Naksh will be seen wearing a mask of Naitik and surprising Akshara. This moment will not just bring a smile on the faces of Akshara and the other members of the Singhania family but the viewers as well. "Amidst all the celebrations, Naksh (Rohan Mehra), who couldn't see his Mom Akshara sad will think of an idea to cheer her up. He will wear a mask of Naitik's face and surprise Akshara. Later on, the mother-son duo will dance on the popular track Maiyaa Yashoda," a source told India Forums.
"It was Naksh's effort to make Akshara smile as she was missing Naitik," Rohan said, confirming the report.
Meanwhile, rumour has it that the production house and the channel Star Plus are mulling over bringing Karan back, who had quit the show due to health issues. Apparently, Hina has expressed her reservations about romancing a new guy. Also, she is said to have refused to play Naitik's widow, leaving no option for the makers but to bring Karan back on the show.
Hina had earlier refused to play a mother-in-law, which eventually led the makers to alter Naksh and Tara's track. However, Karan had refuted the rumours of him making a comeback on the show.
