Star Plus' "Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai" will soon join the list of other daily soaps, which recently took a leap in their storyline. According to reports, the popular show will take a five-year leap, after which the viewers will be treated with not just a fresh storyline but new looks of the cast as well.

It has been reported that Naksh aka Rohan Mehra will be seen sporting Aamir Khan's look from his film "Ghajini" after the leap. The young bubbly son of Akshara (Hina Khan) and Naitik (Karan Mehra) will turn into a responsible and caring son. The actor will also gain weight to look older on the screen.

"Naksh will turn extremely serious. He will no longer be the 21-year-old bubbly son. He will continue to be extremely caring, but his work will always be his priority. I have been briefly told about the look being inspired by Aamir sir's look in Ghajini and I couldn't be more excited," Indo-Asian News Service (IANS) quoted Rohan as saying.

"I personally loved the look and also enjoy wearing leather jackets. The makers have also asked me to gain weight to look older and so I have started doing weight training along with a proper diet which I have been prescribed by my dietician," he told IANS.

The show's lead actress Hina, who was reportedly reluctant about ageing on-screen, will continue to be a part of the show and play the mother of grown-up children. The actress will also be seen sporting a new look after the time jump. "Hina who was shown to be sporting IndoWestern outfits post the 10-year leap, will go ultra modern now wearing tops and palazzos," a source told the Times of India.

While the viewers must be excited for the new look of the cast, Ashnoor Kaur, who plays the role of Naira, will no longer be a part of the show after the time leap. Apparently, the young actress decided to quit the show after the leap as she wanted to concentrate on her studies. A Tellychakkar.com report said that Shivangi Joshi of "Begusarai" fame would step into the shoes of Ashnoor and would be seen as grown-up Naira.

Shivangi, however, said that she had not yet received any confirmation from the makers. "I did give an audition for the role, but have received no confirmation as yet. So, I can't really comment much on this," the actress said.
