Star Plus' "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" will soon take a seven-year leap, after which child artiste Ruhaanika Dhawan, who currently plays the role of Ruhi, will make an exit and Aditi Bhatia, who was last seen on "Tashan-E-Ishq," will play the grown-up Ruhi.

It has been reported that Ruhi will grow up to be a tomboyish rebellious teenager, who hates her stepmother Ishi-ma (Divyanka Tripathi). The teenager will instead grow closer to the show's vamp, Nidhi (Pavitra Punia), who will also rename Ruhi, calling her Ruhaan.

According to a report in Tellychakkar.com, apart from the grown-up Ruhi, the show will also revolve around Ishita and Raman (Karan Patel) who will be seen leading separate lives. Although Raman and Ishita will hate each other, the much-loved on-screen couple will reunite as the story progresses, and continue entertaining their fans with their amazing chemistry.

Not just that, even Shagun's (Anita Hassanandani) stint on the show is likely to come to an end. Reports were recently doing the rounds that Anita had been approached to play the lead on a new show. A report in Tellychakkar.com said the untitled show would revolve around a boy who falls in love with a girl older than him. Anita would reportedly be seen opposite newcomer and model Tushar Khanna. However, the actress has denied being approached for a new show.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that before taking the leap, the makers have a lot more in store for the viewers of the show. According to reports, the Bhalla family will be seen in a celebratory mood when Shagun, being the surrogate mother of Raman and Ishita's child, will deliver the baby prematurely. However, the Bhalla family's happiness will be short-lived when the baby will be kidnapped by Nidhi.
