Television actress Ankita Bhargava (Ankita Karan Patel), wife of popular star Karan Patel, turned a year older on Wednesday, Aug.17. The actress celebrated her birthday, which was organised by her husband, along with her parents and close friends including Anita Hassanandani and Roopal Tyagi.
Dressed in black, Ankita looked gorgeous as she cut the cake in the presence of her loved ones. The highlight of the celebration was Karan and Ankita's romantic moments, which was captured on cameras by their friends.
A day before her birthday, Karan had posted an emotional open letter to his wife on his social media. In the letter, the "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actor had thanked her for putting up with him and apologised for his wrong deeds. He also promised to keep her happy always.
Last month, the couple, who got married in May 2015, managed to take some time off from their hectic schedule for their long-delayed honeymoon. The couple flew down to London, which is Karan's favourite city. They also shared some cute pictures of them strolling round the city on Instagram.
Karan and Ankita's marriage had sparked controversy as Karan was said to be in a serious relationship with Kamya Punjabi before meeting Ankita. Since then, rumours of their troubled marriage have been doing the rounds. Although the actors have repeatedly denied any trouble in their married life, the separation rumours continue to make news. However, with Karan and Ankita's honeymoon trip and Karan's open letter, it looks like the rumours have finally died down.
