Karan Patel is happily married to Ankita Bhargava for almost a year now, but there are chapters from his past, which do not paint a very pretty picture. According to reports, the "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" actor faked his relationship with a certain Amita Chandekar to participate in "Nach Baliye 3".
The Times of India stated that Patel went on record to say that Chandekar was never his girlfriend. However, he did mention that despite not being in a relationship they both fit the rules and regulations of the show.
"We were friends and we suited the rules and regulations of 'Nach Baliye.' You could say we were a pair, or you could say we were never a pair. I never proposed to her. There was never a girlfriend-boyfriend tag. We were two people who hung out together quite often," he told TOI in an interview from 2008.
Also, reports say Kushal Tandon- Elena Boeva, Naman Shaw-Megha Gupta and Sana Saeed-Dipesh Patel are some of the pairs who never dated each other and yet participated in "Nach Baliye", over the years.
In other news, "YHM" stars Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya have been approached for season 8 but the couple will take some time before sealing the deal. "Divyanka and I have not thought about it seriously or had a long discussion. We are still to figure how we can do it. It has to be a mutual decision. It is a dance-based show so we are okay with the concept per se," BollywoodLife quoted Dahiya as saying.
Meanwhile, Pearl V Puri-Asmita Sood, Ruslaan-Mumtaz-Nirali Mehta, Rubina Dilaik-Abhinav Shukla, Avinash Sachedev-Shalmalee Desai, Juhi Parmar-Sachin Shroff, Rohan Mehra-Yukti Kapoor and Kunal Verma-Puja Banerjee are some of the stars who are likely to be a part of the current season.
