Yamaha has introduced a new disc brake variant of its 125cc commuter bike Saluto in India with a price tag of ₹ 54,500 (ex-showroom, New Delhi).

The new Saluto, which mechanically remains the same as the original variant will also get new body colours and vivid graphics. To be offered in four new colours -- Glory Green, Bold Blue, Dashing White and Majestic Red -- the Yamaha Saluto with disc brakes is currently available across showrooms for purchase.

Yamaha Saluto bike will continue to be powered by 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which can churn out 8.2bhp of power at 7,000rpm and 10.1Nm of peak torque at 4,500rpm. It comes mated to a 4-speed transmission and promises a whopping mileage of 78kmpl. The ground clearance of Saluto 125 stands at 180 mm and the bike gets a fuel tank capacity of 7.6 litres.

Saluto, which weighs 112 kg, measures 2035mm in length, 1080mm in height, 700mm in width and 125mm in wheelbase.
