Yamaha Motor recently announced the name for its 150cc naked street motorcycle as M-Slaz, which was previously rumoured to be MT-15. The vehicle will be unveiled at the 32nd Thailand International Motor Show on 1 December. Ahead of it, Yamaha released a teaser video in which the headlamp cluster and Instrument panel has been teased.

The M-slaz feature Kawazaki Z series inspired headlamp unit which is more angular and razor-sharp. The headlamps apparently feature LED lights, the same goes for tail lamp. The digital instrument cluster comes with blue back ground lights. It shows a host of information and positioned without clutter.

The previously leaked images of the motorcycle indicate the M-Slaz will feature upside down suspension at front and mono suspension at rear. The naked motorcycle in the absence of fairing will add fenders in the both sides of fuel tank. Spilt seat, wide handle bar and body graphics are also expected in the motorcycle.

The M-Slaz will draw power from the same 149cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine in the fully fared R15 which is currently sold India. The engine develops 16.7bhp and 15Nm of torque in R15 and the figures are expected to be better in the M-Slaz. The motorcycle will be lighter to R15 which will also aid in better performance.

Yamaha India has never hinted the arrival of the M-Slaz in India.
