Indigenous smartphone maker Xolo officially launched the company's first finger print sensor based handset dubbed as Q2100 in India on Wednesday, 1 October.
The new Xolo Q2100 boasts fingerprint sensor on the rear side (below the camera module) and to make to phone secure, it comes pre-loaded with Last Pass app. It safe guards all the passwords under one roof (it can only be accessed via fingerprint authentication), thereby reducing stress on user to remember numerous complicated passwords of multiple social network sites.
Other stipulated hardware specifications include- 5.5-inch HD (1,280x720p) display, Android KitKat 4.4, 1.3GHz MediaTek qiad-core processor, 1GB LPDDR3 RAM, 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB), 8.0-megapixel camera with Sony Exmor R lens, a 2.0-megapixel snapper on the front and 2,800mAh battery, which can run the device for up to 27 hours of talk time and close to 777 hours under stand-by time.
The company has listed Xolo Q2100 on its websites for ₹13,499 and is said to go on sale in coming days.
Once released it will be competing with recently released Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, Micromax Canvas 4 Plus, Canvas Nitro, Motorola Moto G (Gen 2.), Sony Xperia E3, Asus Zenfone 5, HTC Desire 616, Desire 820 and the Xiaomi Mi3 (expected to be released later this month).
