Home-grown smartphone maker Xolo, probably influenced by Motorola's Moto X series with wooden chassis, has rolled out a timber-framed device, Q1020, with an affordable price tag.
The company took to Facebook to officially announce Xolo Q1020. Though it says the frame around the corner is made of wood, there are no details regarding the type of timber material used.
[Note: Motorola offers Moto X (Gen 1) in Bamboo, Walnut & Teak variants, whereas Moto X (Gen 2) comes in Black Leather and White Bamboo models]
On the front side, it sports 5.0-inch HD IPS screen and ships with Android 4.4 KitKat OS, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, inbuilt 8GB memory (expandable up to 32GB), 13mp camera with Sony's patented Exmor RS sensor and a 2mp snapper on the front.
Xolo Q1020 price and availability details:
According to the company website, Xolo Q1020 has been priced at ₹11,499, but the details regarding the availability are still under wraps. If the past history of Xolo device launches are taken as any guide, Q1020 might be released within a week or two.
Competition:
Once released, Xolo Q1020 will be up against Moto G (Gen 1 & Gen 2), Asus Zenfone 5, Micromax Canvas Nitro, Sony Xperia E3, Xiaomi Redmi 1S and many other domestic brands.
