Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS Update Rolled Out to Xolo Q800 via OTA: ReportREUTERS

It has been only a couple of days since Lava launched a couple of Android v4.2 based smartphones. Now, its subsidiary company, Xolo, has unveiled the budget handset A500s.

The new Xolo A500s is a feature-rich smartphone sporting a 4.0-inch WVGA display with 480x800p resolution having pixel density close to 233 ppi (pixels per inch). It runs on Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor paired with Mali-400 MP graphics engine.

The new Xolo phone houses 512MB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory which can be expanded via microSD card. Camera wise, it flaunts a 5.0-megapaixel camera with LED flash support and can record 720p HD video. On the front side, it packs a VGA camera.

Another mentionable feature is that the new smartphone ships with the 'Xolo Secure' app which helps to recover data loss/thefts. It also secures back-up call logs and tracks device location remotely

According to reports, Xolo A500s priced ₹6,999 will be made available in four colours - black, blue, red and white colours.

Considering its price and features, Xolo A500s make a smart buy for those who are planning to migrate from feature handsets to smartphones.
