Chinese consumer electronics giant Xiaomi is all set to enter the burgeoning Indian smartphone market next week.
Indian arm of the company has teased images on its official Facebook page hinting the event will witness the launch of few devices (smartphones and set-top boxes).
"A big THANK YOU to all Mi Fans who showed your support and joined Mi at the start of our incredible journey. We have something special for YOU, do come back on 11 July 2014 for the announcement post," read the Xiaomi Facebook post.
Over the last one week, the company has been asking fans whether they would be interested in Xiaomi's popular phones - MI-3 and Redmi 1S, and going through the comments posted by Facebook users, the response looks promising for the Chinese firm's venture in India.
The flagship smartphone Xiaomi MI-3 boasts 5.0-inch full HD LCD screen and ships with Android v4.2.1 Jelly Bean OS, Snapdragon 800 series quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 13.0-megapixel camera, 2.0-megapixel snapper on the front and a high-capacity 3,050 mAh battery.
On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi 1S is a mid-range handset that features 4.7-inch HD IPS screen and it comes incorporated with 1.6GHz Snapdragon quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 8.0-megapixel camera, 1.3-megapixel camera on the front for video chatting and a 2,000 mAh battery.
