Flipkart conducted a special Redmi Note flash sale for select First subscribers on Monday, 1 Decembr, while the normal sale will take off on Tuesday.
The company has confirmed (via official Facebook page) that there will be about 50,000 Redmi Note units up for grabs on 2 December flash sale. However, there is no official word on whether the Redmi 1S sales have been suspended or not.
If history is taken as any indication, the company may temporarily halt the retailing of Redmi 1S in India, just like Xiaomi Mi3 in late August.
Later, Manu Jain, Xiaomi Head (India) had clarified that Xiaomi Mi3 sale in India was not discounted. The company just wanted to shift focus on Redmi 1S for the next few weeks.
Xiaomi did keep its promise, but sold only 25,000 units of Mi3 during Flipkart's Big Billion Day shopping festival. We believe that Mi3 will not be returning to India, as the company is slated to release its successor Mi4 in early 2015.

Now, the fate of Redmi 1S sale making a comeback in India rests in the hands of Xiaomi.
Now back to Redmi Note 2 December flash sale, the registration window will be open to public till 11:59pm on Monday, 1 December on Flipkart. Users are advised to get registered to get eligible for the purchase.

Going by the specifications and the dirt-cheap price-tag, Redmi Note sale prospects in India looks promising. We are likely to witness same virtual stampede just like previous Xiaomi device (Mi3 and Redmi 1S) flash sales of the past.
