Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has reportedly begun the open sale of Redmi Note 4G model in India starting today (12 February).

Xiaomi (via Facebook) confirmed that the company now has enough stock to meet Redmi Note 4G demand in India and in collaboration with e-commerce affiliate, Flipkart, it has thrown the sale open for the feature-rich phablet.

"Good news! We now have sufficient stock of Redmi Note 4G for all Mi fans and you can purchase yours any time you want from Flipkart, just in time to catch the ICC Cricket World Cup," reads the Xiaomi India Facebook post.

Usually during normal flash sales, people used to sit in front of their computer screens, a couple of hours ahead of the sale, watching the count-down clock to hit zero with bated breath, and frantically press buy button once it went live. Only a handful of people out of hundreds were able to successfully buy the phone.

Now with the open sale, consumers can log-in to their Flipkart account at any time and buy the Redmi Note 4G which has been pretty elusive since its debut in December.

Redmi Note 4G open sale was conducted for the first time during the Republic Day weekend (24-26 January). The company is yet to confirm for how long this second edition sale will last.

In related development, Xiaomi Mi4 registration has also gone live on Flipkart (HERE) for the 17 February flash sale. Registration window will close on 16 February midnight at 11:59 pm.
