All eyes are on the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 aka Redmi Pro after the stupendous success the Redmi Note 3 has witnessed in its home country China, and India. From what we have heard so far, the device will have several feature upgrades over its predecessor.

Release date

Xiaomi hasn't officially revealed the release date of the Redmi Note 4 but it has scheduled an event on July 27 in China. It is reported that the company will launch the much-awaited handset at the event. Earlier reports had suggested that the Redmi Note 3 successor will be released in August.

Display

There are conflicting reports on the screen size of the Redmi Note 4 with some claiming that it will sport a 5.5-inch display, the same as its predecessor Redmi Note 3, while a Weibo user named Said Yang Feng Technology (via GizmoChina) has reported that it will be "oversized," which can be taken as a hint that it will have a bigger screen.

Hardware and software

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will be powered by a Helio X20 deca-core SoC by MediaTek, according to Chinese website MyDrivers , but some reports doing the rounds also say that it will come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor. The device is expected to come running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and not the just Android 7.0 Nougat.

The device is expected to have a 16GB internal memory, a 3GB RAM, a 13MP main camera, and a battery with fast charge technology.
