Last week, Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 3 in India. Now, the device will finally be made available on Wednesday, March 9, via flash sale on Amazon India and Mi.com/in at 2:00 p.m. IST.

Redmi Note 3, despite coming with a dirt cheap price-tag, comes with top-notch spec-list seen in expensive premium phones such as sturdy body, biometric technology, long lasting battery, fast charging technology and many other features.

Build-quality and display:

Xiaomi's new Redmi Note 3 boasts all-metal body that gives a sturdy structure to withstand accidental fall. The smooth texturing of the metal cover makes the device look truly premium and expensive.

As far as display is concerned, it features 5.5-inch full HD screen with pixel density of 401 pixels per inch (ppi).

The company, in its bid to provide enriched viewing experience, has incorporated Sunlight Display technology, wherein the device intuitively adjust brightness when it is being moved from well-lit closed environment to outdoors.

Redmi Note 3 also boast Night Display mode, wherein the device controls Blue light emissions to prevent eye strain while reading messages or browsing Internet on the phone during the night.

Performance:

Redmi Note 3 comes shipped with 64-bit class based Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 Hexa-core (ARM Cortex A72 dual-core + ARM Cortex A53 quad-core). It is backed by 3GB/2GB RAM (dual channel LPDDR3 series) and 16GB/32GB (eMMC v5.0) in-built storage.

As per the official AnTuTu benchmarking results, Snapdragon 650 is among the top 10 most powerful CPUs in the industry. It scores an impressive 78,979 points. With the backing of Adreno 510 graphics engine and sumptuous 3GB, Snapdragon 650 will make Redmi Note 3 respond faster. Users can open multiple apps simultaneously and switch between them without any lag and also play power intensive games without worrying about overheating.

Security:

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 boasts fingerprint sensor with 0.3 second response time. It is ergonomically placed on the rear-side (below primary camera module) for easy access. With biometric technology in place, it will provide a second layer of protection to the data stored in the phone.

The fingerprint technology is supported by inbuilt Qualcomm Secure Execution Environment firmware, so that no person (even the device owner) or any software will be able to gain access/copy fingerprint details.

Thanks to MIUI v7.0 (based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop) software, users can also lock individual app with finger-print security feature. Redmi Note 3 users can also use the sensor to act as a selfie shutter as well.

VoLTE and LTE:

Redmi Note 3 is one of the very few handful of smartphones in the market to boast VoLTE (Voice-over-LTE). This feature helps the phone to receive HD quality voice signals.

Battery:

The new Xiaomi phone boasts a high capacity 4050mAh battery. It is capable of running the device for close to 22 days under standby mode.

The company claims that the battery can also support up to 14 hours of GPS navigation and speaker music playback for close to 32 hours on the phone.

It also features 5V 2A "Quick Charge" technology, where in the device gets charged to 50 percent within 30 minutes.
