Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has reportedly announced that the company's flagship handset Mi4 (64GB) will be made via available on 28 March via open sale.
The company's e-commerce partner, Flipkart (via Twittter), has confirmed to kick off the Xiaomi Mi4 (64GB) open sale at 2pm on Saturday. Unlike previous sales, users need not get registered to become eligible to buy the phone. They can just log in to their respective Flipkart account and order it on Saturday afternoon onwards.
With this, people can now buy both the - 16GB and 64GB - Xiaomi Mi4 models directly without any registration on Flipkart.
This is a welcome move by the company as it frees the prospective consumers of going through cumbersome registrations and this process does not guarantee you the phone, users have to patiently wait in front of the PC, abandoning work on a weekday (flash sale always takes place on every Tuesday afternoon) and once for the flash sale count-down strike zero, we have to frantically tap buy button and out of thousands, only handful on users will ever get their hands on the device. It would to be imperative, if Xiaomi takes measure to offer Redmi 2 via open sale. Or else frustrated people will find an alternative. Especially in a fast growing market like India, consumers have so many choices in this budget smartphone category.
