Xiaomi is reportedly planning to enter the US smartphone market after conquering the Asian market by releasing Mi Note and Mi Note pro devices in the country.

President of Xiaomi, Bin Lin said at the WSJD Live global technology conference of the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday that the company may sell Xiaomi Mi Note and Xiaomi Mi Note pro in the United States, according to TechTimes.

Bin said in an interview to WSJ that the Chinese smartphone maker is aiming to sell 80-million units around the world within the year.

It may be recalled that Xiaomi released its Mi Note and Mi Note Pro devices earlier this year. The devices were considered as a move by the company to get out of "Apple copycat" tag it has got for similarities with Apple's iPhones.

The device sports a 5.7-inch full HD display with 1920x1080 pixels, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocking at 2.5 GHz, Android 4.4.4 KitKat with MIUI v6.0, 16 GB and 64 GB internal memory, 3 GB RAM, 13 MP Sony camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation), 4 MP secondary snapper, and 3,000 mAh battery with quick charge 2.0 technology. It's 16 GB is priced at ¥2299 Yuan (around $371/€315) and 64 GB at ¥2799 Yuan (around $451/€384).

The device sports a 5.7-inch 2K display with 2560x1440 pixels. Under the hoods, it has 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, Android 4.4.4 KitKat with MIUI v6.0, 64 GB internal memory, 4 GB RAM, 13 MP main camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation), 4 MP front snapper and 3090 mAh battery with quick charge 2.0 technology. The device comes with a price tag of ¥3299 (around $532/€452).
