Xiaomi appears to be gearing up to launch its high-end smartphone, the Mi Note 2. The Chinese technology giant is tight-lipped on the handset, but leaks have revealed almost all details, including its release date, specifications and pricing.

It was earlier reported that Xiaomi Mi Note 2 may be released in August, but that may not happen if one is to go with the latest report. XiaomiToday has claimed that the device will be released on Sept. 5. However, Xiaomi is yet to confirm.

According to reports, Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be more powerful than the flagship smartphone Mi 5 that was released a few months ago. An image posted on Weibo hints that the upcoming device could be Xiaomi's premium handset. It holds waters as Mi Note and Mi Note Pro were superior to Mi 4 in terms of specifications.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will feature a metal body, a fingerprint sensor, and a 5.7-inch IPS LCD Display with 1,920×1,080 screen resolution, according to the post on Weibo. Under the hood, it is expected to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, a 64/128GB internal memory, a 4/6GB RAM, and a 3,600mAh battery with Quick Charge technology. Reports also suggest that the device will feature a 2K dual curved display and a Force Touch support.

The device is also expected to come with a price tag of 2,499 Yuan for the variant with 64GB internal storage and 6GB RAM, and 2,799 Yuan for the 128GB internal memory and 6GB RAM model.
