In what could come as a disappointment to Xiaomi fans, the release date of Mi 5 is said to be pushed to November.

It was earlier reported that Xiaomi Mi 5 would be unveiled in July before releasing in August. A section of the media has claimed that it will be unveiled on 24 September but it sounds unlikely for the simple reason that Xiaomi hasn't uttered even a word on it despite the date drawing close.

Now, WCCF Tech has reported citing sources from Beijing that Xiaomi Mi5 will be announced by the end of November.

It may be mentioned that the Chinese smartphone maker is yet to reveal anything about the Mi 4 successor, including its release date.

According to reports, Xiaomi Mi 5 will have a 5.2-inch QHD touchscreen with 2560 x 1440 pixels screen resolution and protected by Gorilla Glass 4, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocking at 1.8GHz. It will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The phone is expected to have 32/64 GB internal memory, 4 GB RAM, a 16 MP main camera with dual-LED flash, optical Image stabilisation (OIS), a 5 MP secondary snapper, and powered by a 3,000mAh battery.

It is also reported that the device will come with features like fingerprint sensor and Type-C USB port.

Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to be priced at $399, approximately Rs 26,500, which is quite high compared to its predecessor (Rs 14,999).
