Xiaomi is tight-lipped about its upcoming smartphone, dubbed as the Mi 5, but leaks have revealed almost everything, including release date, specifications and price.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 is expected to be unveiled on 24 September before releasing it into the market a few days later, according to a report by Yibaba. There were also reports doing the rounds that it will come with a price tag of ¥2,399, which is around $376, but nothing has been confirmed till now.

It was earlier reported that the Xiaomi Mi 4 successor would be unveiled in July before releasing it in August. It was reported later that the device would come in the second half of August but it never happened, sparking off speculations that the Chinese smartphone makers might bring its other device, the Mi 4C, first.

According to reports that have appeared so far, the upcoming smartphone is expected to come with 5.2-inch QHD touchscreen with 2560 x 1440 pixels screen resolution and protected by Gorilla Glass 4, Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, and Android Lollipop. It is also expected to come packed with 32/64 GB internal memory, 4 GB RAM, 16 MP main camera, and 13 MP secondary snapper under the hoods.

However, Yibada claimed in a report that the new Xiaomi phone will sport a 5.3-inch screen with 1440 X 2560 pixels resolution and MIUI 6.0, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocking at 1.8 GHz, run on Android 5.1 Lollipop and house a 3000mAh battery.

It may be mentioned that the aforementioned specifications of the device reported in the media have not been confirmed yet.
