The long awaited Xiaomi's flagship Mi 5 black variant was finally released in India on Friday.The company via Facebook confirmed the launch of the new black Xiaomi Mi 5 in the country and also promised to roll-out the golden variant soon.
"You've been asking, now it's here! The beautiful Mi 5 in black is now available at Amazon India and Flipkart. Go get it this instant!," Xiaomi India said on Facebook.
Except the colour, the design language and the internal hardware of the new black model is the same as seen inside the white variant and costs Rs. 24,999.
Xiaomi Mi sports a 5 5.15-inch full HD display with physical home button, which also doubles up as the fingerprint-based screen unlock system and runs latest Android Marshmallow OS based MIUI v7.0 backed by 1.8GHz Snapdragon 820 quad-core CPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage.
It also boasts a 16MP Sony IMX298 camera on the back, a 4MP front snapper and a 3,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
In a related development, Xiaomi is hosting an event in New Delhi to launch the 6.44-inch metal-clad Mi Max, the company's biggest smartphone, on June 30.
