Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced that its mid-range handset Mi 4i will henceforth be offered via open sale in India.
The company took to Facebook to confirm that the Xiaomi Mi 4i – dark grey and white models –can be purchased anytime on Xiaomi's official e-Store (Mi.com/in, HERE) for ₹12,999, dispensing with the registration process.
Xiaomi added that the Mi 4i open sale is also live on other e-commerce sites – Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon.
This is the second time the company has offered the device via open sale. Previously, the Xiaomi Mi 4i open sale was for two days in May (25 & 26), but this time there is no such time restriction.
Further, Flipkart is also offering a promotional exchange deal on Xiaomi Mi 4i with up to ₹5,000 in discounts; buyers who are ready part with their old smartphone can bag the Xiaomi phone for just ₹7,999 [HERE].
Xiaomi Mi 4i sports a 5.0-inch full HD screen, runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS (with MIUI) backed by the second generation Snapdragon 615 Octa-core SoC, has Adreno 405 graphics engine, 2GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage capacity and high-capacity 3,120mAh battery, which can power the phone for close to 1.5 days.
