Wine with a hint of marijuana is all you need for the New Year. Though cannabis alcohol isn't a new thing and we already have weed-infused beer and wine, this time it has been made alcohol-free to get you high.

Previously, the cannabis alcohol either didn't actually get people high or made for a confusing time, Metro.co.uk reported. California's Rebel Coast Winery will begin selling this unique product – 'cannabis sauvignon blanc' in January 2018.

Rebel Coast co-founder Alex Howe has called the infused wine "a premium product that will be a hot, new dinner party trend across California and soon, the United States."

Rebel Coast removes the wine's alcohol and infuses each bottle with 16 milligrams of organic tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

"Our goal is not to kill you after you've had a few glasses," Rebel Coast says on their website.

They further added: "The goal is to get giggly and naked with someone. We set out to mimic the experience you'd find with traditional wine."

The winemakers say that a glass of sauvignon blanc will take about 15 minutes to get you high, and the best thing is that you won't get the horrible hangover next day.

You can pre-order a bottle on the Rebel Coast website if you are 21 years or older and live in California. The orders are expected to ship by early 2018 and will be distributed to more than 500 dispensaries across California. Each bottle will cost around $59.99 (£44.70).

The company also plans on introducing a cannabis-infused rosé and a sparkling wine later in 2018. There will also be CBD-infused wines with all the medicinal effects, that won't get you high.
