Wargaming West, the developer of strategy video game, World of Tanks: Xbox 360 Edition has announced that it will be releasing a new update for the game titled Soviet Steel. The update will be free of cost.

This is the newest update to the game that was released on 12 February 2014. The new update will be adding 29 vehicles that include Light Tanks, Medium Tanks, Heavy Tanks and Tank Destroyers from the U.S.S.R.

Light Tanks category includes the following vehicles:

  • MS-1 (tier 1)
  • T-26 (tier 2)
  • BT-2 (tier 2)
  • T-46 (tier 3)
  • BT-7 (tier 3)
  • A-20 (tier 4)
  • T-50 (tier 4)

Medium Tanks category includes the following vehicles:

  • T-28 (tier 4)
  • T-34 (tier 5
  • T-34-85 (tier 6)
  • T-43 (tier 7)
  • T-44 (tier 8)
  • T-54 (tier 9)
  • T-62A (tier 10)

Heavy Tanks category includes the following vehicles:

  • KV-1 (tier 5)
  • KV-1S (tier 6)
  • IS (tier 7)
  • IS-3 (tier 8)
  • IS-8 (tier 9)
  • IS-7 (tier 10)

Tank Destroyers category includes the following vehicles:

  • AT-1 (tier 2)
  • SU-76 (tier 3)
  • SU-85B (tier 4)
  • SU-85 (tier 5)
  • SU-100 (tier 6)
  • SU-152 (tier 7)
  • ISU-152 (tier 8)
  • Object 704 (tier 9)
  • Object 268 (tier 10)

The addition of these vehicles will take the tally of vehicles in World of Tanks above 150. Apart from the new vehicles, the update will also be adding two new maps - Komarin and Ensk.

This game combines both MMO and FPS elements in a world set in World War 2, where players will get armored vehicles and launch devastating attacks on their opponents in online multiplayer strategic battles. The game already provide players with maps like Cliff, Mines, Malinovka, Sand River, West Field, Province, Abbey, Fisherman's Bay, Prokhorovka, Himmelsdorf, Lakeville and Mountain Pass.

Warface Gets European Clash Expansion

The free-to-play FPS title, Warface from developer Crytek Kiev will be able to make use of the newly released expansion, European Clash on Xbox 360.

Microsoft has said that the new update will be introducing new cooperative battleground in Eastern Europe and a series of Versus engagements which are all set in the Balkans. New purchasable weapons like Superior Helmet and Light Gloves can be deployed, reported Videogamer.

The game's setting is 2023 with no nation states and power vacuum filled by the multinational military that are controlled by corporations which in turn control resources creating crisis situations. The game was released for PC in October 2013 and for Xbox 360 on April 2014.
