Dhanbad, Jan 06 (ANI): Five worker unions of state-owned Coal India Limited sat on a five-day strike, beginning from Tuesday, against the government's plan to allow private companies mine and sell coal. Workers shouted anti-government slogans. An official of Bharat Coking Coal Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, Shiv Ram Vasundhar, said the strike would ultimately affect the common man. The unions might go on strike again on January 13 as per Jibon Roy, General Secretary of All India Coal Workers Federation.
