Bangalore, July 25 (ANI): India_s third-biggest IT services exporter, Wipro Limited posted fiscal first-quarter profit up 29.6 percent and forecast a surge in revenue on the back of stronger spending on outsourcing by overseas clients. IT services revenue in Wipro_s fiscal first quarter that ended on June 30 rose 1.2 percent from the previous quarter to $1.7 billion, as it added 35 new clients. Consolidated net profit for the quarter grew 29.6 percent from a year earlier to 21.03 billion rupees, slightly below consensus estimates of 21.24 billion rupees. Total revenue rose 14 percent from a year earlier to 111.4 billion rupees.
