Keyboard shortcuts come handy to accomplish any task, making life easy. For the uninitiated, keyboard shortcuts are a sequence of keys pressed together to perform a task directly from the keyboard. If you know the keyboard shortcut, you need not be dependent on your mouse or touchscreen, apart from completing the task seamlessly.

You might be aware of Ctrl + V, Ctrl + X and Ctrl + C, isn't it? These 3 keyboard shortcuts have been there since the begining of the Windows journey.

To be specific, Windows offers keyboard shortcuts for every task that you otherwise perform using several clicks. For example, you can open the start menu directly by pressing Windows button which sits in between the Ctrl and Alt button at the lower left part of the keyboard. Now, if you press Windows + R, you can open the run command menu without clicking a few times through your mouse.

Or for that matter, to open the Windows Explorer menu, instead of pressing the windows explorer button that appears on the taskbar, you can just try pressing the Windows and E together.

Similarly, for closing a particular window, instead of clicking the cross button that appears on the top right corner of the window, use Alt+F4. For shutting down the system, try Windows and U button together.

In Windows 10, also Microsoft is offering a plethora of keyboard shortcuts.
