Xiaomi appears to be working on a smaller screen device in line of Apple's new 4-inch iPhone SE. Details of the device have been spotted online. The mystery handset sports a 4.3-inch screen, which is the same as that of the Mi 2 that was released in November 2012.

According to a Weibo post (via ITHome via GizChina), the mystery smartphone from Xiaomi has a 4.3-inch screen, much smaller the recently launched Mi 5 and Redmi Note 3. The report claimed that the device will be released in June and come with a price tag of 1799 Yuan (around $277 / Rs. 18,491).

The device is also expected to have a 720p HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor clocking at 1.8 GHz, a 13MP rear camera, a 32GB internal memory and a 3GB RAM. The photo shared on Weibo also hinted at a physical home button and a fingerprint scanner.

Xiaomi is yet to speak up on the device but it is likely to have many similar features with the Mi 2 if one is to go by the leaks.

It may be recalled that the Xiaomi Mi 2 was unveiled in August and released in November, 2012. It sports a 4.3-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 720x1,280 pixels (342 ppi pixel density), powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro, and run Android 4.1 Jelly Bean (upgradable to Android 4.4.4 KitKat) with MIUI 5.0. It also has an 8MP main camera, a 2MP secondary snapper and a 2,000mAh battery.
