Former EXO members Kris (Wu Yifan) and Luhan will once again meet SM Entertainment at Seoul Central District Court on 27 February to settle their contract nullification case with the record label.

While Kris will be having his fifth court-ordered mediation with the firm, it will be Luhan's fourth attempt to settle the issue.

However, there are no signs of a compromise by both sides, since the representatives of former South Korean-Chinese K-pop boy band members have already come up with a statement against the entertainment company.

The statement is being released through a Chinese media outlet Sina in response to the lawsuits filed by SM Entertainment in Shanghai and Hong Kong courts, respectively, reported Korean website allKpop.

The official notice by the Beijing legal team of Kris and Luhan criticises the firm for misusing its power as a popular Korean entertainment company to defame the young celebs and limit their activities.

"As a major Korean entertainment agency, SM took advantage of their prominent position by negotiating an unreasonable and unfair contract with the agency celebrities," stated the legal notice.

The statement also claimed that the record label received multiple penalties from the Fair Trade Commission Republic of Korea for taking advantage of the young celebs, including a penalty in 2013 for restricting the activities of JYJ's celebrity.

As per the legal notice, Luhan and Kris made several requests to SM Entertainment for the improvement of excessive promotions, health risk and income distribution, but they were rejected and ignored so they had to file lawsuits against the company.

The legal team even stated that the young celebs tried their best to settle the issue multiple times, but the record label's "misleading and threatening statement" is forcing the stars to take legal action against the company to protect their rights and interests.

The dispute between Kris, Luhan and SM Entertainment began after the celebs bid goodbye to the company and filed lawsuits against it in last May and October, respectively. And if the issue is not settled through the mediation, it will be taken to court for standard civil proceedings.

Meanwhile, several speculations are doing the rounds that former EXO members might team up to strengthen their contract nullification case against SM Entertainment.

Recently, Kris and Luhan were once again seen together at the rehearsal camp of CCTV Spring Gala 2015, wherein Luhan was seen interviewing Kris, according to the  Korean website.

The celebs will be performing "Lifetime with You" and "At the Same Table" at the New Year's Gala.
