Aishwarya Rai Bachchan seems to be on a signing spree. After Mani Ratnam and Sanjay Leela Bhansali films, the actress has now been roped in for a Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra movie, which will feature Anil Kapoor as well.
After 17 years, Anil and Aishwarya will appear on the silver screen together, Mumbai Mirror reported. The duo has done movies like Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai (2000) and Taal (1999). Will the duo play a romantic couple in the upcoming film?
After playing a father in Dil Dhadakne Do, it will be weird to see Anil romancing Aishwarya, who accompanied his daughter Sonam Kapoor at Cannes Film Festival 2017.
"We go on the floors by the year-end. It is a happy, slice-of-life film. We approached Aishwarya for the part and are glad she agreed to come on-board," Prernaa Arora, who is co-producing the film with Arjun N Kapoor and Rakeysh, confirmed to Mumbai Mirror.
Meanwhile, Anil will be seen in a film opposite Arjun Kapoor and will play his reel life uncle. On the other hand, Aishwarya will be seen in Mani Ratnam's next and speculations are rife that Abhishek Bachchan might be the hero.
The interesting news is Aishwarya has also signed Bhansali's upcoming film and there are reports that Salman Khan has also been roped in for a Bhansali movie. Are they coming together on-screen? Both actors have moved on with their lives and it would be a big treat for their fans if the former couple reunites on screen.
