Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif and Shah Rukh Khan
Katrina Kaif has shared screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in Varinder Chawla

Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif were recently spotted having fun at the "Udta Punjab" trailer launch and since then, the rumours of the two starring in a film started have been doing the rounds. Speculations are rife that Katrina, who has apparently been finalised for Shah Rukh Khan's two-heroine movie, might share screen space with Alia in it.

Earlier, it had been reported that Katrina was roped in for Aanand L Rai's next and the makers were trying to get Alia or Sonam Kapoor on board to play the other female lead. However, the report suggested that both the heroines might not sign the film. "Sonam is in the best phase of her career and she might not want to do a two-heroine film right now. As for Alia, her film with SRK will hit screens soon. It's highly improbable for them to come together once again in such a short span," a source had told DNA.

But, nobody would miss the opportunity to star alongside Shah Rukh. Katrina has earlier worked with SRK in "Jab Tak Hai Jaan" and Alia will soon appear with him in Gauri Shinde's next. But, it will be for the first time that Sonam and SRK will share screen space if she is roped in.

Also, Sonam and Alia share a great bond with Katrina. The "Udta Punjab" actress is said to be Katrina's new BFF in B-Town. In fact, Alia's step-sister Pooja Bhatt called them "sisters" in her Instagram post. "This could well be titled SIBLING revelry!! Ok so I told both these gorgeous women this picture was JUST for me but they look so damn good together I had to share it! They could well be sisters! Not merely for their looks but also for their hilarious banter that you have to hear to believe! #beautifulwomen #actors #camaderie #banter #love #support #aliabhatt #katrinakaif #udtapunjab #screening," Pooja wrote it as a caption to a photo of Alia and Katrina.

Fans would be delighted if Alia and Katrina appear opposite Bollywood Baadshah, who will play the character of a dwarf in Aanand's film. Both the actresses looked adorable in pictures, thus, they will complement each other on the silver screen as well.
