There is always a lot of anticipation around the movies directed by Vishal Bharadwaj. Fans are especially eager to see the kind of magic that Shahid Kapoor and Bharadwaj create together. The latest film by this director-actor duo titled, O' Romeo, has been faring well at the box office despite the mixed reviews that have been coming from the audience. Shahid's performance is being lauded by critics and netizens alike and has become the talk of the town. However, there is one more thing about the movie which has grabbed the eyeballs of everyone. Aamir Khan is thanked in the opening credits of the film, and for quite some time now, many wondered about it. However, Bharadwaj had finally opened up about the reason behind thanking Aamir.
When Aamir's name popped up on the screen, fans anticipated that the actor might make a cameo in the film. He did not feature in the film. In a recent conversation with Bollywood Hungama, the 'Omkara' director revealed why he chose to thank Aamir in the opening credits of his latest film, which released on February 13.
Bharadwaj said, "Aamir wanted to hear the script of O'Romeo. And when he heard it, he gave me this idea that someone should be killed at a crucial point in the film. Killing the lawyer Anjum Ansari in the restaurant was his idea. This is the reason why I thanked him. This suggestion changed so many things for me. Because from there, the protagonist, Ustara gets attracted towards the girl (Afshan). He realises, 'Oh my God, she can do anything to exact revenge'. So, he starts taking her seriously and even nurses her back to health after she gets injured."
Vishal went on to say that this was where the romantic narrative first took shape, eventually evolving into a significant turning point in the storyline for him. It was then that the director decided to thank Aamir from the 'bottom of his heart'.

For those unversed, Bharadwaj's O' Romeo features Shahid Kapoor, Avinash Tiwary, Triptii Dimri and Nana Patekar in pivotal roles. Disha Patani, Vikrant Massey, and Tamannaah Bhatia have special appearances in the film.
