Manjal Prasadavum Nettiyil Charthi... this melody from the Hariharan-directed movie Nakhakshathangal that was released in 1986 is one of the popular songs in Malayalam that features Vineeth and Monisha. ONV Kurup has penned the lyrics, for which popular playback singer KS Chithra rendered her mesmerising voice.
Seems like the melody is being loved by children of this generation as well. Chithra, who came across a video of a young girl singing the song as a forward message, has shared it on her Facebook page, requesting netizens to find her identity. "Hi dears. I am uploading this beautiful video to all music lovers. I got this as a forward. Can someone get me the identity of this wonderful baby. So sweet of her. [sic]," the singer posted on social media.
Many followers of Chithra have been praising the young singer for her incredible talent. "Wow.... singing with taalam... tht too such an iconic song ... truly blessed by Goddess Saraswati [sic]," writes a netizen. "What a sweet performance, you have a very bright future, God bless you[sic]," wishes another social media user.
The video uploaded by Chithra on December 15 has gone viral on social media, and had gathered more than six lakh views at the time of reporting. Meanwhile, though it cannot be verified now, some of the netizens have commented that the child's name is Ammu.
