Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) is back from jail and is all set to take his music company to a new level in this week's episode of "Empire" season 2. Episode 3, titled "Fires of Heaven", will also feature a conflict between the hip hop mogul and his ex-wife Cookie Lyon (Taraji P Henson).

In a sneak peek of the upcoming episode, the outspoken female protagonist is seen alerting her son Hakeem Lyon (Bryshere Y Gray) about Lucious' move against them. "Your daddy is trying to keep as off the radio and you back in the studio," she says.

The trailer also shows Jamal (Jussie Smollett) developing some feelings for Cookie, but the hip hop mogul reminds him of her betrayal. He says, "Have you forgotten what your mother was trying to do with me? She tried to take Empire from me. She tried to take it from you".

The promotional clip even hints at an intense sequence between Lucious' ex-wife and Roxanne Ford (Tyra Ferrell). The prosecutor is seen threatening Henson's character and saying," If you don't get me what I want, I will come after your boys".

Meanwhile, a rapper is likely to join Empire Entertainment and it will be none other than the daughter of Frank Gathers (Chris Rock), Young Ma (Bre-Z Murray). According to the official synopsis, the hip hop mogul will try to convince her to sign with him.

Executive producer Ilene Chaiken has already revealed that Young Ma will accept the offer. "I'll say this outright: Lucious doesn't make good on the sexual promise. That's just something he said to be foul. But yes, Lucious signs her — it's a classic Lucious Lyon story," she told TV Line.

The third episode will also feature Adam Rodriguez as the new concert promoter and Cookie's love interest Laz Delgado.
