Salman Khan is currently one of the highest paid actors of Bollywood, but the superstar was apparently paid less than his co-actress in a blockbuster film.

Salman Khan, who was seen romancing Madhuri Dixit Nene in "Hum Aapke Hain Koun", was apparently paid less than his co-star in the film.

Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently had an interactive session with his fans on Twitter, during which, he revealed that Salman was paid less than Madhuri in the movie.

The interactive session was based on "gender inequality" and when a fan pointed out that female actors are always paid less than their male counterparts in Bollywood, Anupam Kher made the revelation.

Directed by Sooraj Barjatya, "Hum Aapke Hain Koun" was a family drama in which Salman and Madhuri were seen as a pair, while Anupam Kher played the role of Madhuri's father.

Based on family values, the film also featured Mohnish Bahl, Alok Nath, Renuka Shahane among others and won as many as five Filmfare Awards.

Meanwhile, Salman and Sooraj Barjatya have collaborated again after 15 years for the upcoming movie "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo", which also features Sonam Kapoor, and is expected to hit the screens around Diwali this year.
