Even as Karan Patel aka Raman of "Yeh Hai Mohabbatein" has been married to Ankita Bhargava (Ankita Karan Patel) for almost a year now, his past relationship with Kamya Punjabi continues to make headlines.
The recently held Box Cricket League 2 (BCL 2) match between Karan's team Chandigarh Cubs and Kamya's team Jaipur Joshiley raised quite a few eyebrows when Kamya openly expressed her love for Karan. The actress even went on to hug Karan for his team's excellent performance, which left Karan blushing.
"Zindagi toh har di match kya cheez hai (I have given him my life, what is a match in compared to that)," Kamya said, when host Pritam asked her regarding her team's poor performance, according to Tellychakkar.com.
When the commentator further asked her about "KP" written on her jersey, Kamya quipped: "Jersey kya dil main bhi hai KP... tattoo bhi hai, dikhaun kya (Not just in my jersey, but my heart also has KP engraved in it. I also have a tattoo should I flaunt that?)"
Later when Tellychakkar.com contacted Kamya, the actress who never shies away from speaking her mind, said that her love for Karan will not change although she doesn't want him back in her life. "I have always been open about my love for Karan. My love doesn't change with seasons," she told the web-portal.
"Of course I know that he is married and I don't even wish to have him back in my life. I will never be able to forgive him for breaking my trust and heart. I am not someone who shies away from speaking the truth on camera. I am honest and open about my emotions. I am not scared of anyone as my feelings are true," she added.
In December last year, rumour had it that Karan gate-crashed BCL party thrown by Kamya, who is the owner of Jaipur Joshilay team. He further shocked the guests at the party when he reportedly walked up to Kamya and told her that they should patch up and apologised to her for his wrongdoings.
