At a time when his film "Kabali" released worldwide, superstar Rajinikanth was in the United States where he watched the movie along with his fans during a special screening.

But what took Rajinikanth to the U.S? According to the media reports, the actor, who is revered by his fans globally, is in the U.S. for a routine health checkup. 

While for his fans in India, Malaysia, Japan and many other countries, Rajini's movie release is a festival time when they go all out from pouring milk over his film posters to arranging special feasts, distributing sweets and bursting crackers, the superstar reportedly was advised to take some time out from his strenuous schedule.

Rajini's health has always been a matter of concern for tens of thousands of his fans, who always wish to stay updated about his well-being.

Rajini is known to suffer from type-2 diabetes and cirrhosis of liver. He has also reportedly underwent several surgeries. Despite all that, the 65-year old superstar has been able to maintain a good health, much to the delight of his fans. 

So what is the reason behind the actor's good health, which inevitably leads to his charisma?

Not many people would know that it is the "Kabali" actor's strict diet regimen and several exercises that keep him hale and hearty.

A strict diet devoid of sugar, rice, milk, curd and ghee is what still makes Rajinikanth look way younger than his age, according to a report in NDTV. The "Kabali" actor swears by meditation, which he practises regularly.

His daily schedule of exercises include a morning jog at five for an hour followed by even walks. 

Rajinikanth is also a firm believer of the fact that a good night's sleep is key to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
