Welcome To The Jungle trailer: Majnu Bhai references, border chaos and a 'flop actor' Akshay Kumar headline the madness
The 4-minute-10-second trailer offers a detailed glimpse into the film, showing how the reel lives of actors collide with the troubled realities of villagers living near the border. Packed with chaos, confusion and comedy, the trailer maintains a fun and nonchalant tone, with characters constantly mocking each other and cracking jokes about their careers and relationships.
The comic one-liners will leave fans laughing, while the film blends slapstick humour with over-the-top action sequences, aerial stunts and larger-than-life set pieces that wow fans. The trailer also features a sequel to Majnu Bhai's iconic painting, one of the most memorable gags from the original Welcome.
Akshay Kumar plays a flop actor attempting to revive his career after being cast opposite a successful female superstar, played by Jacqueline Fernandez, who only adds glamour in the frame. The opening slate humorously reveals that the fake film within the film is mounted on a staggering ₹2,000 crore budget.
The cast and crew then travel to a village near the border for the shoot, only to discover that the villagers have mistaken them for real army personnel and expect them to protect them from a dangerous gang led by Jackie Shroff. Raveena Tandon, who plays a villager, develops a connection with Akshay's character and asks why the army took 20 years to come to their rescue.

The trailer is packed with references to the earlier films. Suniel Shetty is introduced as "Uday ka bhai", a nod to Nana Patekar's beloved character Uday Shetty, while Arshad Warsi is called "Majnu ka bhai", referencing Anil Kapoor's iconic Majnu Bhai from the previous instalments.

In one of the funnier moments, Suniel declares that he wants to perform action sequences like Akshay Kumar, only to quickly back out when faced with the reality of high-octane stunts.
The film is an amalgamation of Akshay Kumar's Tees Maar Khan and Hera Pheri, and blends the chaotic humour of franchises like Golmaal and Dhamaal. A few dialogues land particularly well, delivering laugh-out-loud moments and tapping into the peak comedy genre that fans have been eager to see Akshay return to.
Welcome to the Jungle is set to hit cinemas on June 26. The film marks the third instalment in the Welcome franchise after Welcome and Welcome Back. It is directed by choreographer-turned-director Ahmed Khan, best known for Baaghi 2, Baaghi 3 and Heropanti 2.
