Rob Lowe is a busy man this television season, with "The Grinder" having just premiered on FOX and "You, Me and the Apocalypse" just lurking around the corner. If his luscious career is anything to by, Lowe's newest series will also be worth watching. However, if you still feel uncertain about the show, we have compiled a list of reviews that can help you go in the right direction:

Den of Geek

...The cast, more or less, and a fine one it is, having been cherry-picked from some of TV's best comedy ensembles. Rob Lowe in particular seems to be having a ball as a worldly, offensive Catholic Father, a role that chimes pleasantly against the ultra-health-conscious, ultra-enthusiastic character he played on Parks And Recreation...In short then, the set-up's good, the cast is fun, and if it can maintain the entertaining standard set here, You, Me And The Apocalypse should see us through to December nicely.

NME

..New Sky 1 show You, Me and The Apocalypse - a comedy-drama starring Rob Lowe (Parks and Recreation, The West Wing) as a chain-smoking priest battling the end of the world - is three steps ahead of you and promises to be one of the year's most entertaining new shows.

Independent

It's a clever and ambitious series in which suburban drudgery co-exists with action adventure, where prison breakouts occur alongside debates about the correct way to prepare breakfast and where all bets are off because we're counting down to the end of the world. It's also a definite departure for Sky, a witty, carefully conceived drama that never takes itself too seriously; a show in which terrible things can seem uproariously funny and the moments that might have made you laugh almost tempt to you to cry.

Watch out for the series premiere of "You, Me and the Apocalypse" on Wednesday, 30 September. You can also live stream, record or download episode 1 via Sky1 Website.
