Sania Mirza Martina Hingis Wimbledon 2015
Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis will want to win their first doubles title together when they play Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina in the Wimbledon doubles finalReuters

Sania Mirza and Martina Hingis are one of the favourites to win the women's doubles in the third Grand Slam of the year, and the Indo-Swiss pair have started their campaign on a bright note. Sania and Hingis are now preparing to face Christina McHale and Jelena Ostapenko in third round of Wimbledon 2016 on Monday.

The top seeds have not dropped a single set in the competition, as they have registered quality wins in the first and second round matches. Sania-Hingis defeated the German pairing of Anna-Lena Friedsam and Laura Siegmund in straight sets 6-2, 7-5 in the first round. The defending champions were then at their menacing best in the second round as they defeated the Japanese pair of Eri Hozumi and Miyu Kato 6-1, 6-3.

With two comfortable wins under their belt, they should be in confident mood when they face McHale and Ostapenko. But the match is expected to be a tricky one, as their opponents come into this match with a huge win in their second round match. The US-Latvia pair showed some impressive skills to get past the 13th seeds – Vania King and Alla Kudryavtseva in straight sets --  who were expected to pose Sania and Hingis' first big challenge.

But, the top seeds will now have to deal with McHale and Ostapenko, and get past the confident team to seal a quarterfinals berth. If Sania-Hingis get their game right, there are very few pairs that can match the champions, and Santina, as they are known, will hope they have another one of those perfect days.
