Friday's episode of the CW's "The Vampire Diaries" will finally bring the storyline to the present, with Rayna (Leslie-Anne Huff) once again on the hunt for Stefan Salvatore.

But before that, we will see the events that lead to Damon (Ian Somerhalder) deciding to lock himself in a coffin next to his girlfriend Elena's (Nina Dobrev) sleeping body. Viewers also get more information regarding Rayna's past and her powers.

In the previous episode, it was revealed Rayna was enhanced by shamans to get vengeance on Julian, who forced her to kill her father, a member of the Brotherhood of Five. The shamans sacrificed themselves and gave Rayna powerful abilities that would allow her to kill vampires. She was also granted multiple lives.

In Friday's episode titled "I Would For You", Bonnie (Kat Graham), who is aware of Damon's intention to kill Rayna for good, learns from Enzo (Michael Malarkey) Rayna is on her last life, and if she dies, everyone who has been marked by her sword dies with her. This stalls Damon's plan to kill Rayna, as his brother Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) is one of Rayna's latest quarries.

This shocking discovery prompts Bonnie to help Enzo and the Armory capture Rayna.

Besides Rayna, Episode 15 will also focus on Stefan and Caroline, and give viewers a glimpse into the events that lead to them going their separate ways.
