Italian heavyweights Roma and Inter Milan have some real work ahead of them if they want to catch up with Juventus at the top of the Serie A table this season. The two sides clash swords Saturday.

Currently, Roma are third with 57 points, while Inter Milan, who began their season on a high, have kept slumping since and lie fifth with 54 points.

With nine games remaining in the Italian league for all teams this season, the now-or-never moment has finally arrived. Going by their recent form, AS Roma look the clear favourites going into the match. They are the only team in the Italian top flight to have won all their last six fixtures in the Serie A and are looking menacing with every passing game.

Roma also have the advantage of playing Inter in front of their home fans at the Stadio Olimpico, Saturday.

"From now until the end of the season there are games that are fundamental to all of us: the focus now is just to put all the qualities that we have within these challenges," Roma coach Luciano Spalletti told his club's website ahead of the game.

The match pits two veteran Italian coaches -- Spalletti and former Manchester City coach Roberto Mancini -- against each other and the tactical battle between them will be one to watch out for.

"Roma are a good side and, like Juventus and Napoli, they started the season looking to win the title. They have a lot of quality, they've been playing together for a long while and strengthened well in January with El Shaarawy and Perotti. Anything could happen over 90 minutes," Mancini told the Inter Milan website.

"Would a draw be a good result? When two sides go out there, they do so to give 100%. We'll see what the result is come full time but, just like Roma, we'll play to win. This is a meeting between two in-form sides, I hope it's a good game and the result is the same as when we used to meet them."
