This Thursday's episode of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars will see the queens reunite with their families and it is going to be a highly emotional hour.
"As gay people, we get to choose our families," Ru says in a sneak peek of the episode released by Entertainment Weekly. "Because sometimes the families we grew up with don't understand us. So, when I recently reached out with an invitation to your moms and sisters, I'm sorry to say that not one of them accepted my invitation…"
When several contestants were nearly close to tears, Ru added, "… they all did!"
Family members who will appear on Thursday's episode are the siblings of Edward and Detox, the mothers of Alaska and Katya, and Andrew's grandmother. "Seeing my sister walk into the Work Room is stirring up all of these emotions," Detox says. "Just last week, it was the anniversary of my father's passing, so that's been on my mind a lot, lately. To have my heart, my soul, my best friend… it's like a godsend."
This week's challenge is to transform their siblings and mothers into a member of the drag family.
RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars is aired on Thursdays at 8 pm ET on Logo. This Thursday's episode is titled Family That Drags Together and it can be watched online on logotv.com. Last week's instalment of the reality show saw the queens design and market a few products connected to their brand, and at the end of the episode Tatianna left the competition.
As for who will win the competition, Alaska seems to be a huge favourite.
