Dilli Veer open their campaign in the inaugural edition of the Pro Wrestling League 2015 on Saturday, 12 December, as they host neighbours Haryana Hammers at the IGI Stadium in the national capital.

The action shifts to Ludhiana after tonight's match.

So far, Mumbai Garuda and Bengaluru Yodhas have notched wins in the competition. Mumbai defeated Punjab Royals 43-26 in the inaugural match of the season, while Bengaluru defeated UP Warriors 36-19 yesterday.

Star Indian wrestler Sushil Kumar was a part of Team UP but he decided to withdraw from the tournament, and that was the breakthrough the Narsingh Yadav-led Bengaluru Yodhas needed. Narsingh, who is the first Indian wrestler to qualify to the 2016 Rio Olympics, gave a stunning display to win against Mongolia's Purvejav Unurbut.

The Mongolian had defeated the Indian in the semifinals of the World Championships earlier this year in the 74 kg category. "Having lost to him at the World Championships was sad, but I am happy that I avenged it today," Narsingh said after the bout. "What is more satisfying is that I did it in front of my home crowd."

Today's match sees another Indian star wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt in action for the Haryana Hammers. Also, female Ukrainian wrestler Oksana Herhel, the costliest player in the tournament, will be in action for Haryana.

For Dilli Veer, Russian female wrestler Yesilirmak remains the star name, apart from India's Vinesh Phogat.

Dilli Veer vs Haryana Hammers is scheduled for a 7 pm IST start.
